"I believe everyone is born with a gift for ART and that it's just a matter of who 'takes the path!'" - Venditti Master of the trompe l'oeil technique of painting, Jerry Venditti's desire isn't "to fool the eye," with his fine oil paintings, rather it is to enhance, highlight and expound the profundity of what is. Whether an arrangement of Native American pottery, a bowl of fruit, or a time-dimensioned image steeped in antiquity and accurate historic relevance, there is nothing still about a Venditti still life. Born & raised in the San Francisco’s Bay Area, Venditti stepped away from a career in law at the last minute to study art in earnest at San Francisco State University. Thereafter, cultivating dynamic mentorships with Al Proom and Tom Jordon of the renowned SF Art Institute; setting off from there to study amongst the vastness of the New Mexico landscapes.
