About the artist

 

Lilia Mazurkevich was born in Belarus and never intended to become a painter, in spite of her father being an artist and her deep interest in the art from early childhood. Nevertheless she always knew that her future occupation was destined to be a creative one and attended a four-year course at Junior Art School during her teens, studying drawing and painting. Later Lilia obtained a degree in an industrial Design in Kiev, Ukraine but her passion for painting took over. She moved to London, UK and studied Fine Art at City & Guilds Of London Art School. Lilia's paintings were shortlisted for Summer Exhibition, Royal Academy of Art and BP Portrait Award National Gallery; her works are in private collections in the UK, USA, Italy, Switzerland and permanent collection of Vienna Phantasmus Museum, Austria.
